All About 4-H Camp Ohio

The 4-H Camp Ohio Youth Education Center is nestled along the Rocky Fork Stream approximately ten miles east of Utica. It is situated on more than 500 acres in the beautiful rolling hills of northern Licking County.

Approximately 10,000 young people camp annually. These youth are primarily from 4-H and school groups. In additions, 4-H Camp Ohio provides a wonderful retreat and workshop setting for civic organizations, businesses, scout groups, family reunions, and others.

Food Services:

A food service staff provides excellent, nutritious meals and snacks. Family-style meals are served in our centrally located dining hall.

Outdoor picnics and cookouts are also popular meal options prepared at our small group campfire sites in the forest.

Facilities:

4-H Camp Ohio offers summer facilities for 250 campers. There are winterized facilities for 200. The camp is handicapped accessible. Modern bathroom and shower facilities are provided in the staff cabins, and in central bath houses located in each camper cabin area. Other facilities include:

Meeting rooms and outdoor meeting areas to accommodate groups up to 250. You are welcome to bring your own audiovisual equipment.
Olympic-size outdoor pool with a diving area, a large shallow play and swim area, a sunbathing area, with an adjoinging bathhouse.
Creative Arts Pavilion and darkroom.
Vesper Hill and other beautiful natural sites for quiet moments, reflections, and inspiration.
Amphitheater with large campfire ring.

Programs:

Our program goals encourage leadership skills and cognitive, physical, emotional and social youth development. They include, but are not limited to:

Adventure Education:		high-ropes course rappelling tower climbing wall zipline team challenge course
Living History:
Gives campers hands-on experiences about rural Ohio lifestyles spanning four centuries.

	1920's Era Working Farm
	Underground Railroad
	Sports & Recreation	baseball basketball court sand-filled volleyball court large covered recreation hall outdoor recreation pad archery range canoeing & swimming shooting range - shotgun, rifle, pistol new games
	Nature / Environmental Studies	aquatic studies - stream & pond hiking & nature trails nature center wildlife area & bird blind fishing wetland forest & meadow habitats outdoor living skills
Lesson Plans are available on all nature and living history programs.
